Select Cartridge claims no affiliation with any of these OEMs. Also, Select Cartridge. takes no responsibility whatever for consequential damage arising from use of any of its products. Please ensure that the product you intend to purchase is in fact suitable for the printer that you intend to use it with, and please read any accompanying instructions carefully before installation.
Retention of Title
Select Cartridge retains title to all goods supplied to you until such time as they have been paid for in full.
Product Description
We have made every effort to clearly identify the products on our website and in any promotional material, but Select Cartridge doesn’t accept liability for products that are accidentally described incorrectly.
The following terms are to be found on our site:
Use of the word ‘Original’or OEM in the product description or elsewhere in the webshop indicates that the product described therein has been produced by the original printer manufacturer and purchased by Select Cartridge for re-sale.
Use of the words Own Brand in the product description or elsewhere in the webshop indicates that the product described therein has been produced by a third-party manufacturer that are completely new products that are compatible with and can replace original products.
Use of the word Refill/ Remanufactured in the product description or elsewhere in the Webshop indicates that the Cartridge is a remanufactured cartridge where the original product has been cleaned, re-conditioned and refilled.
Page Yield Very many of the product descriptions contain the phrases ‘page yield’, ‘product capacity’ or ‘capacity of’. The page yields mentioned in these descriptions are based on the industry standard of 5% coverage (i.e. 5% of the area of the page has been printed on), in accordance with ISO/IEC 19752 testing methodology. This is how printer manufacturers describe their page yields, and we’ve continued to use this standard. Obviously if you’re printing just one line of standard-size text per page you’re very likely to exceed the stated page yield, and if you’re printing an A4-sized black box you won’t get the yield that’s mentioned in the description. Yields vary with usage and environmental conditions. Please note, these page yields are guidelines only and should not be relied upon as ‘gospel’.

HP claims a yield 825 pages but then issue the following disclaimer. *Tested in HP Officejet 6700 Premium e-All-in-One. Average based on ISO/IEC 24711 or HP testing methodology and continuous printing. Actual yield varies considerably based on content of printed pages and other factors.
So in short, the advertised yield is subject to many factors, and accordingly, Select Cartridge disclaims responsibility for ‘originals’ that don’t print the number of pages that’s advertised in the product description, as the OEMs themselves say that the yield is only a guideline.
Terms and Conditions
Returns
According to the EU Distance Selling Directive, the consumer is protected by a number of safeguards and entitlements. Select Cartridge is committed to complying with this directive. With this in mind you are entitled to a seven-day ‘cooling-off period’, whereby you are entitled to return your purchase to us for any reason* within seven days of receipt of same, and be refunded the price that you paid, minus the shipping charge. This safeguard applies only where the products in question are unopened, unused, undamaged, and returned to us in full saleable condition. Charges for return-shipment must be borne by the purchaser. In the event that you have ordered the incorrect consumables for your machine, and opened same (outer box or inner packaging) then we cannot refund in part or full. For items ordered incorrectly, or for items that are not required any longer, Ink Maestro reserves the right to decline to accept returns and also to levy a re-stocking fee.
Please note: If you’ve ordered an item in error and opened its packaging we cannot accept it back!
Guarantee
The guarantees on our various product lines are as follows:
Original products:
In the event that you’ve purchased a faulty original or OEM product from Select Cartridge. please contact the manufacturer directly for further instruction. Many original equipment manufacturers require that the end-user initiate such returns procedures directly with them (but we will of course honour the guarantee if the OEM suggests that course of action). The warranty period is limited to 12 months from date of invoice. Please feel free to contact us with any queries you might have.
Compatible/ Own Brand products
In the event that your compatible purchase is faulty Select Cartridge undertakes to replace said product or refund the product purchase price, for a period of 12 months from the date of purchase.
Re-manufactured/ Refilled products
In the event that your re-manufactured purchase is faulty Select Cartridge undertakes to replace said product or refund the product purchase price, for a period of 12 months from the date of purchase.
In each of the cases above please contact us directly for a Return Merchandise Authorisation (“RMA”) number BEFORE returning goods. This RMA number and a copy of the delivery note or invoice must accompany any item being returned to us. Shipping charges are non-refundable. The following conditions must be satisfied for a valid guarantee claim:
The claim must be made and a RMA number requested within the guarantee period.
This may be done by email, fax or telephone, the product must be returned to us within 5 working days of receipt of the RMA number, the article must be packaged properly, the guarantee form must be clearly filled out with your address, telephone number and RMA number. A copy of the delivery note or invoice must accompany the returned item(s). The customer assumes responsibility for any anomalies that may arise during shipment (i.e. damaged or destroyed goods, delays etc.).
Refunds
Refunds will be issued in the same form as the original payment. If paid for by credit card, a credit will be issued to the original credit card number provided on that specific order. If product(s) purchased from Select Cartridge should be returned for whatever reason, the customer shall return the product(s) to us under the following terms:
RMA number
Customer must obtain a Return Merchandise Authorisation (“RMA”) number by contacting customer service. An RMA must be requested within 7 days of receipt of goods.
Supporting documentation
Customer shall return the products to Select Cartridge, along with the original invoice or delivery note (or a copy of either). If no invoice is to hand, please include a letter specifying the problem, and including date of purchase, invoice number and customer ID (if known). Also please include your first and last name, and your phone number. This will help us expedite a solution and allow us to contact you if there are any problems or concerns regarding your return.
Return to Select Cartridge
Before a refund and/or reshipment can be issued, the cartridges in question must be returned to Select Cartridge. We will not be responsible for damaged parts if customer does not follow this process. Please retain shipping information including tracking numbers, until your account has been credited by Select Cartridge
or replacement product is received. Select Cartridge cannot be held liable for any lost packages that are not given any type of tracking number or documentation. If Select Cartridge determines that failure of the Cartridge(s) was not as a result of a defect in materials or workmanship, or if the reason for return does not involve failure, then Select Cartridge reserves the right to charge the customer for parts and labour, or charge the customer a 20% restocking fee. Select Cartridge will advise customer prior to assessing these charges.
If no order number, invoice number, delivery note or RMA number is included, there will be a delay in the returns process. If you do not state whether you desire a refund or a replacement, a standard replacement will be issued. You will not receive a refund or reshipment if you use over 25% of the product.
Taxes
All products offered for sale on this site display prices both exclusive of and inclusive of VAT at the prevailing rate in Ireland.
Payment
Unless paid for via our secure online payment system, or otherwise stated, all payments shall be due upon receipt of an invoice. Select Cartridge reserves the right to obtain a security interest in all products sold to the customer, and in proceeds thereof, until the customer makes full payment. A €30 collection fee will be charged for any and all dishonoured cheques.

Prices
Select Cartridge reserves the rights to change the prices of any or all of its products without prior notification.
Delivery
Select Cartridge is based in Galway. We hold a large stock of the most Commonly use Cartridges. Some Cartridges and Printers are such small sellers that we often don’t keep stock of them, in which case there may be a 3-5 day lead time in most cases,(we will notify you if this is longer). We use An Post for next day delivery tracking service throughout Ireland.
Risk of Loss
Select Cartridge liability for delivery shall cease, and title and all risk of loss or damage to the products as a result of misuse, or damage to personal property as a result of misuse shall pass on to the customer.
Undelivered Products
A 15 business day waiting period is required before any product shall be resent or any order be cancelled at the discretion of Select Cartridge, per customer request.
Terms of Limited Warranty
Select Cartridge warrants to the original customer purchasing such products directly from Select Cartridge that all such products sold will be free from defects in materials and workmanship affecting form, fit and function. Any claim alleging that any product fails to conform to the foregoing warranty may be made only by the customer who purchased such product and only while such customer owns such product. Select Cartridge, at its option, will repair, replace, or provide a credit or refund of either the original purchase price or fair market value, whichever is lower, for a product that is determined by Select Cartridge to be defective. Select Cartridge reserves the right to substitute functionally equivalent new or serviceable used parts. The Limited Warranty covers only defects arising under normal use and does not include malfunctions or failures resulting from misuse, abuse, neglect, alteration, problems with electrical power, usage not in accordance with product instructions, acts of nature or improper installation or repairs made by anyone other than Select Cartridge
Assignment
Customer may not assign its rights or obligations hereunder without the express prior written consent of Select Cartridge.
Entire agreement
These terms and conditions, including those on the face hereof, constitute the entire agreement with regard to this sale and expressly supersede and replace any prior or contemporaneous agreements, whether written or oral, relating to said sale, including any terms and conditions on any of customers documents or purchase orders. This agreement shall be binding upon the heirs, successors and assigns of the parties hereto. If any provision of this agreement shall be held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remainder of this agreement shall remain in full force and effect.
Governing law, jurisdiction and costs
This agreement is governed by the laws of the REPUBLIC OF IRELAND, without regard to its conflict or choice of law provisions. Customer acknowledges and agrees that the REPUBLIC OF IRELAND is an appropriate place for venue of any litigation and that REPUBLIC OF IRELAND courts have jurisdiction over this agreement and customer. In the event the customer and Ink Maestro Limited are unable to resolve any customer dispute, and any collection action, suit or other judicial proceeding is commenced, the prevailing party in any such collection action, suit or judicial proceeding shall be entitled to recover its costs and reasonable legal fees incurred.
Terms and Conditions
This sale is subject to the terms and conditions stated herein, which are in lieu of and replace any and all terms and conditions set forth in any documents issued by customer, including, without limitation, purchase orders and specifications. In case of conflict between the terms and conditions stated here and those on the face hereof, those on the face hereof shall control. ANY ADDITIONAL, DIFFERENT OR CONFLICTING TERMS AND CONDITIONS ON ANY SUCH DOCUMENT ISSUED BY CUSTOMER AT ANY TIME ARE HEREBY OBJECTED TO BY SELECT CARTRIDGE, AND ANY SUCH DOCUMENT SHALL BE WHOLLY INAPPLICABLE TO ANY SALE MADE HEREUNDER AND SHALL NOT BE BINDING IN ANY WAY ON SELECT CARTRIDGE.
